Beetle Blocks on Inhabitots

 

 

Beetle Blocks are not your typical building blocks. Handcrafted from Ponderosa Pine in Western Canada, their naturally-stained geometric blue pieces are the dye work of a local species of bark beetle that kills and tints the grain of the Ponderosa tree rings. Thankfully, this ‘dead wood’ has found new life in Beetle Block building sets that are not only engaging with their limitless construction possibilities, but also a great way of crafting nature’s leftovers into interactive toys for all ages. Perfect assembled on a playroom shelf or scattered underfoot in the living room, these gorgeous block sets transform a sad tale of destruction into one of resourcefulness and adaptiveness.

Looking Glam for all those Holiday Parties.

1) Let the steam from a warm shower soften your cuticles.
2) After the shower, push cuticles back with an orangewood or metal stick. (Please don’t cut the cuticles, they can grow back unevenly.)
3) Massage a cuticle oil or balm (Revolution Organics All-Over Body Balm - coming soon in our shop!) around (and on top of) the nails. Let it absorb for a few minutes.
4) Apply Priti Nail Polish (we're loving Smoky Midnight) in vertical strokes from the center of the nail out to the sides. Make sure to stay on the nail, and don’t let the polish bleed into the cuticle bed.

CC Tip: Wipe the nail-polish brush on the side of the bottle to remove excess polish before you apply. It’s less wasteful, and you won’t end up with pools of color by the sides of your nails.
